Mendham Township, New Jersey

This project consisted of the complete restoration and renovation to the 1914-18 Colonial Revival and French Eclectic style mansion designed by three notable American Architects; Ernest Flagg, McKim Meade & White, and Aymar Embury.

This residence was the site of the 1977 Mansion in May Design showhouse, and had, until our restoration, been completely destroyed by vandals. This required the wholesale restoration of the residence, with the entire 13,000 square foot structure completely rebuilt and restored from the framing out. All of the existing masonry was repointed or replaced, new windows, doors, roofing, chimneys, trim, etc. were installed. In addition, the construction was updated to accommodate new programmatic and code requirements in a thoughtful and sensitive manner reflecting the uniqueness of the Historic structure.
